Description
One Arabic letter, large. The first letter of a name — «م» for Mariam, «أ» for Ahmed — set alone on the page in classical Naskh or geometric Kufi, with its name lettered small beneath. The nursery-door poster, the desk poster, the gift for a new baby whose name is not yet chosen but whose initial is.
Two ways to have it: a framed A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) in a matte-black moulding for AED 100, or the same A3 on rolled canvas, unframed, for AED 60. Choose the letter and the script below; a pair of initials for a couple's room is two posters at the rolled price.
The scripts
- Naskh — the letter as a child first meets it in a schoolbook.
- Kufi — the letter as a shape: square, bold, almost a mark.

Quick answers
▸ How much is delivery, and when does it arrive?
Made to order — 5–7 working days for production, then delivery. Worldwide Express at the shipping rate shown at checkout, delivered within 8 days by tracked courier.
▸ Can it be framed?
Framed A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) on cotton canvas, stretched and framed by hand, ready to hang — or the same A3 on rolled canvas, unframed.
▸ Is it an original paint?
It is a print: the letters are set in a classical script in Mashq Studio and printed in our workshop. For originals by named calligraphers, see the artists page.
▸ Can you wrap it as a gift?
Yes — add Gift Wrapping, $5.55 per order however many pieces, and write your message under “Order instructions” in your cart, or send it to us on WhatsApp; it travels on a card with no price on it, and we can ship straight to the recipient.
▸ Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, free of charge, within 12 hours of ordering — message us on WhatsApp or at connect@mashq.ae. After that your piece is being made, and the order can’t be cancelled or changed.
▸ How do I look after it?
Dust the canvas with a soft, dry cloth, never a damp one, and hang it out of strong direct sun. Behind acrylic glass, wipe the glass with a soft cloth and a little mild soapy water — never an ammonia window spray or a paper towel, which cloud and scratch acrylic.
▸ Does software touch it?
The letterforms are a real typeface shaped in Mashq Studio; what you see is the vector we make. No image model draws or repaints a letter.
