“Of wealth, only the stories and the good name remain” completes a line that Hatim al-Ta’i (6th century), whose name is still a byword for generosity, addressed to his wife: “Mawiyya, wealth comes in the morning and is gone by evening.” For a host’s majlis, a family business, or a generous friend. It is written in Thuluth, the grand script of mosque inscriptions, in gold ink over a Persian miniature of a beacon fire on blue desert ridges under an indigo night sky. Printed exactly as shown.
Seven sizes, from 50 × 35 cm to 120 × 90 cm, all printed landscape, the sizes that keep this wide design whole. The size names are the store’s: 50 × 70 cm here is 70 cm wide and 50 cm tall. Which fits where: 50 × 35 cm above a desk or a console; A2 or 70 × 50 cm over a sideboard; A1 or 100 × 70 cm over a sofa; A0 or 120 × 90 cm on a majlis wall. The price of each size is in the picker, and the size guide shows them to scale.
Prices are per piece and include the frame when you choose one. Pick Frameless (canvas only) for the rolled canvas on its own, or any of the eight hand-finished mouldings — polished gold, matte black, antique gold, light wood, oak, dark walnut, white, silver.
Canvas, with or without acrylic glass. Printed on cotton canvas, either rolled unframed or stretched over a bar and framed by hand. Choose Canvas + acrylic glass and the framed piece is glazed under clear acrylic, which protects the print; abroad, a paint travels rolled in a rigid tube, unframed.
